Team Registration

Step 1: Player Registration Players, captains and coaches must be registered in the USAB/Railstation database in order to build a team roster during the Team Registration process.  There is no charge for this registration.  Have your players go to the IBA home page and click on Player/Coach Registration in the top menu (Coaches will need to enter their information as well).
 
Step 2: USA Badminton Club Membership Your team must be a club member of USA Badminton.  USAB memberships begin on March 1 of each year and continue for 12 months.  Your team may choose any of these options:
  • If you join in the fall semester or during the months of January of February, you can make one payment ($25.00 for the remaining months of the membership year PLUS $50.00 for the following year's membership - total amount in this option is $75.00)
     
  • If you join in the fall semester or during the months of January or February, you can make a $25.00 payment for the remaining months of the membership year.  Then, you would make another payment of $50.00 on March 1, which would be a full-year membership in effect until the following year's March 1.
     
  • If you want to wait until March 1 to purchase your USAB club membership, your team may still play matches in the fall semester and during the months of January and February.  Please keep records of these matches.  You will be entering match results in the Railstation system, and the system allows you to enter past results.

Step 3: IBA Membership Click here for the IBA Membership application.  Only teams that have submitted this application will appear on the Team Listings page.

 
Step 4: Team Registration Once your team has joined USAB and IBA, your team contact information will appear on the Team Listing page, from which you can contact other teams to schedule matches.

In the spring semester of 2010, you will be given information on accessing the Railstation system and building your team roster.   In addition, you will be able to input match results into Railstation, which will then generate team rankings.

Until the Team Registration process is finalized, feel free to schedule and play matches against other IBA teams.  Please be sure to keep scoresheets of all matches, as you will need to input these results once we have finalized the Team Registration process.
